Nicole MeadowNicole Meadow, MPN, RD

Nicole Meadow, MPN, RD is a reputable professional in the field of pediatric nutrition. Her clients are referred for a variety of nutritional concerns including food allergies, diabetes (type I, II and gestational), celiac disease, feeding disorders, failure to thrive, cardiac disease, eating disorders, and others. Nicole works with both typically developing children and children with developmental disabilities.

Nicole received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of Michigan and a Master of Arts Degree in Preventive Nutrition from the University of Southern California. Determined to work in the field of pediatric nutrition, she was selected for the highly competitive California State University of Northridge Dietetic Internship Program where Nicole was able to receive a great deal of training in neonatal and pediatric nutrition in clinical rotations. After passing the RD exam Nicole practiced as a clinical dietitian in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Cedars Sinai Medical Center and at the University Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities (UCEDD) at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles.

Nicole soon found her passion in assisting families with complex nutritional challenges and began practicing full-time at the UCEDD. Nicole obtained extensive experience in working with children with special health care needs and developed unique and innovative techniques to assist patients with a variety of nutritional concerns.

With a desire to reach out to her local community, Nicole opened her private practice in 2006. Her approach and philosophy are based on a family centered model. Nicole looks at each client and each family on an individual basis and develops their plan according to their specific needs. She works with her clients to develop realistic and attainable goals. The process is interactive, and over time family members meet their health and nutritional goals together.

In addition to her clinical work, Nicole publishes her own newsletter, NutritionWise Monthly. She writes for numerous online publications and is a frequent speaker to local schools, corporations and the community at large. In her spare time, she enjoys cooking, doing yoga, spending time with her husband and her son.
