Services

Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) is the management of specific medical conditions through nutrition education and dietary interventions. MNT is provided for the following conditions/populations:

  • Overweight/Obesity
  • Autism (GFCF diet)
  • Eating Disorders
  • Food Allergies
  • Feeding Disorders
  • Diabetes
  • Cancer
  • Sports Nutrition
  • Failure to Thrive (FTT)
  • Cardiac Disease/HTN
  • Celiac Disease
  • pre/post-natal nutrition
  • Vegetarian/Vegan
  • Crohn’s Disease

Initial Nutrition Assessment: (1.25 hours)
The initial session consists of reviewing a 3-day food record, growth records, physical activity habits and any pertinent laboratory values. There will be a large amount of dietary education related to your particular nutritional needs.

Nutrition Follow Up: (30 or 60 minutes)
The follow-up session consists of reviewing food diaries, adjusting goals and monitoring growth/weight.

Supermarket Tours: (1 hour)
A unique service that provides an abundant amount of information to help you choose foods for quick and easy meals, to learn to read food labels, to help avoid allergens, to reduce time spent shopping and to improve the overall nutrient quality of your diet.

Fee Schedule:  Please contact the office for the current fee schedule.

Insurance Reimbursement: 
Insurance reimbursement is based on individual insurance plans. Medical insurance companies may or may not provide reimbursement for nutrition services. Please check with your insurance provider regarding their policy on reimbursement for nutrition services. While NutritionWise does not directly bill insurance companies, a form (superbill) will be provided that may be self-submitted for potential insurance reimbursement.

metabolic packages

Package #1:
Metabolic test and in-depth review of results (15 minutes)

Package #2:
M etabolic test and in-depth review of results. Plus a short session with registered dietitian to provide ideas for meals and snacks to meet nutritional goals (30 minutes)

Package #3:
Metabolic test and complete nutrition assessment. Includes review of a 3-day food record, growth records, physical activity habits and any pertinent laboratory values. There will be a large amount of dietary education related to patient's particular nutritional needs. (1.5 hours)

Package #4:
Twelve week healthy lifestyle package. Includes 2 metabolic tests (before and after), 1 initial nutrition assessment (includes review of a 3-day food record, growth records, physical activity habits and any pertinent laboratory values), 4 follow-up session sessions (includes review of food diaries, adjusting goals and monitoring weight) and one supermarket tour.
